UEA Employment Opportunities

"History has demonstrated convincingly that education levels the playing field. The 20th Century has shown us that entrepreneurial enterprise does too. Neither one cares who you are or where you've been. Your background, upbringing, gender, race, age, status, profession, religion, or national origin simply does not matter. What does matter, however, is where you want to be. And how hard you're prepared to work to get there."

- Laura McAlwin, The Center for Entrepreneurial Studies

United Energy Associates, Inc. (UEA) is currently seeking qualified applicants who could make the commitment to become UEA Managing Partners (with the Corporation) in their respective market areas. Extensive training, marketing assistance and support is provided by the company for it's Managing Partners at no charge. Below is a list of eight qualifications, the first five of which are essential.

  1. Applicants must be financially independent or have other sources of income. The sales cycle in UEA's business is such that no income should be expected from the partnership relationship for a period of 6 - 9 months, and perhaps as long as one year.

  2. Applicants must have access to a major metropolitan market. This does not mean that the applicant must live within such an area, but he or she must live close enough to know the geography and the inhabitants of the perspective market place.

  3. Applicants must have good people skills. All UEA Managing Partners must have the ability to make friends readily and to naturally gain people's trust and confidence. References for this particular requirement should be provided.

  4. Applicant must possess basic computer skills. Because UEA is attempting to develop a paperless office by 1999, a basic knowledge of computer skills is necessary. Current software used by the corporation in its business are Windows, Ventura Publishing, Excel, ACT! and EnLighteN.

  5. Applicants must have a strong entreprenuerial desire. UEA Managing Partners work for themselves; they set their own hours and make their own schedules. While the long-term financial benefits are commensurate with ownership, the individual's desire to build his or her own organization must be present.

  6. Applicants should have the ability to travel and market freely within a 100 mile radius of his or her metropolitan market.

  7. Applicants should possess the ability to grasp new ideas and concepts readily. Technology within the Energy business is fast moving and ever changing. UEA works very hard to stay on the cutting edge of progress. Our Partners must be ever curious, industrious students of the industry as the learning process is never ending.

  8. Applicants should be environmental activist. Here, some people's commitment is much greater than others. It is virtually impossible to work in our business without becoming more concerned about our earth.

If, in your estimation, you can answer the first five of these qualifications positively, we would like to discuss with you what UEA has to offer and how you might take advantage of it. Please send a current resume to (407) 740-0169, Email us at uea@uea.com or call Jim Smathers at 800-742-3362.
