UEA Lighting Assessment/Proposal and Power Quality Analysis Study
We conduct on-site investigation and testing which includes the following site measurements:
- Lighting Fixture Survey
- Footcandle Readings measured at the workplace (as per IES requirements)
- Fundamental and individual Harmonic Currents
- Total Harmonic Distortion of the Current Waveform (THDi)
- Total Harmonic Distortion of the Voltage Waveform (THDv)
- True and Reactive Power to determine Power Factor
- Grounding and Neutral System current and analysis
These measurements are taken at Distribution Panels, Power Panels, Motor Control Centers and
Distribution Transformers as determined from the One-Line Diagram and onsite inspection as required. In the event
that measured values of distortion approach or exceed the recommended limits of IEEE Standard 519-1992, the values will be
included into the comprehensive report. The report will also include system engineered recommendations for solutions
regarding the mitigation of load generated harmonic distortion and improvement of overall
facility power quality. Include in the lighting report is an Energy Audit that compares current usage with proposed upgrade
usage. A set of specifications specific to your facility will be included which can be used as a Request For Proposal bidding
package.
